Change Up North Creative Writing Retreats
Come join a vibrant and diverse community of women
creative writers at Women Writing for (a) Change Up North!
In our weekend retreats, you can expect professional facilitation, guided
creative writing prompts and shared readings. You will spend time on your
creative writing alone, as well as sharing your work with others in a
supportive environment.
Varied genres of writing are welcome, including
journaling, poetry, fiction, non-fiction, drama and others. All levels of
creative writing experience are welcome. No prior writing classes are
required.
At WWf(a)C Up North you can give yourself the gift of time for
yourself, expect to hone your creative writing skills and have fun doing
it!
Retreats are led by Anni Macht Gibson, published author and licensed
teacher of the Women Writing for (a) Change process. Ms. Macht Gibson is
the author of a collection of poetry,
Unfinished and
the owner of Women Writing for (a) Change Up North creative writing
school.
The cost of the weekend retreats is $299, including
room and board (private room with bath, 3 meals Sat. and 2 Sunday).
Women Writing for (a) Change Up North offers two
weekend creative writing retreats each year, in July and in November.
Our next writing retreat will begin on July 17th, 2009
at 7 p.m..
Weekend retreats are held at The Augustine Center, in
Conway, Michigan, just North of Petoskey on MI 31.
Those attending retreats can expect skill building and depth of
expression, creative activities, respectful and helpful feedback, a
dedicated teacher, encouragement and support and a vibrant and diverse
community of writers.
